Calorygeb: refractory putty, 300g pot

Features:

Ready-to-use refractory mastic based on alkali silicates and asbestos-free refractory fillers :

• Installation of heating appliances, assembly of boiler components.
• Installation of refractory bricks in fireplaces, repair of cracks.
• Assembly of chimney flues, bushels, heat recovery units, etc.

Implementation :

Preparation:

• Masonry: clean with wire brush and remove dust.
• Cast iron/metal: clean with abrasive, degrease with alcohol and wipe with a clean cloth.
• For best adhesion, brush surfaces to be filled with a 90% CALORYGEB / 10% water mixture . In all cases, it is advisable to moisten porous surfaces before applying the product.

Instructions for use:

• Do not apply filler at temperatures below +5°C or above +40°C.
• Spread the product over the areas to be grouted, or fill cracks and cavities until they are completely filled.
• Depending on application media, allow to dry for around 48 hours before gradually raising temperature, without bringing into contact with flame.

Consumption :

• • Depending on joint dimensions and application, a 310-ml cartridge or approx. 600 g will produce a joint of one length (see table on next page, joint length is expressed in meters)

Cleaning equipment :

• Equipment should be cleaned with water (hot if possible).

Tips :

• For best pot life, level the product surface in the can and reseal the lid, after use.

Storage :

• • Store at temperatures between +5°C and +3 0°C.
  • At 20°C, the shelf life of the product in its original closed packaging is 30 months.

Remarks :

• Continuous storage at a higher temperature may, in some cases, alter the product 's final characteristics .
• The product should not be used where it comes into contact with water or high humidity, in excessively thick layers (> a few mm) or for technical grouting ( e.g. heavy elements subject to shock and vibration ).
• The product is not suitable for grouting glass or enamelled substrates.
• The sealant may settle. In this case, remove the supernatant or re-mix the product before use.
