Calorygeb refractory sealant, 600g pot

Features:

Ready-to-use refractory mastic based on alkaline silicates and refractory fillers without asbestos:

• Installation of heating devices, assembly of boiler components.
• Installation of refractory bricks in fireplace hearths, repair of cracks.
• Installation of chimney flues, ducts, heat recoverers...

Implementation:

Preparation:

• Masonry: clean with a wire brush and dust off.
• Cast iron/Metals: clean with abrasive, degrease with alcohol and wipe with a clean cloth.
• For better adhesion, pre-coat the surfaces to be masticated with a mixture of 90% CALORYGEB / 10% water. In all cases, it is advisable to moisten porous surfaces before applying the product.

Instructions for use:

• Do not apply the mastic if the temperature is below +5°C or above +40°C.
• Spread the product on the parts to be jointed or fill the cracks and cavities until refusal.
• Depending on the application surfaces, allow to dry for about 48 hours before gradually increasing the temperature, without bringing it into contact with the flame.

Consumption:

• • Depending on the dimensions of the joint and the application, a 310 ml cartridge or approximately 600 g will allow for creating a joint of a length (see table on the next page, the length of the joint is expressed in meters)

Cleaning of equipment:

• Cleaning of equipment is done with water (hot if possible).

Tips:

• For better preservation in the pot, level the surface of the product in the box and close the lid after use.

Storage:

• • Store at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C.
  • At 20°C, the shelf life of the product in its original closed packaging is 30 months.

Observations:

• Continuous storage at a higher temperature may, in some cases, alter the final characteristics of the product.
• The product should not be used in cases where there is contact with water or high humidity, in thicknesses that are too significant (> a few mm) and in technical jointing (heavy elements, subjected to shocks and vibrations for example).
• The product is not suitable for jointing on glass or enamelled supports.
• A decantation of the mastic may occur. In this case, remove the supernatant or remix the product before use.
