STINK-SHIELD D.200 Odour Shield Valve

The STINK-SHIELD^® is a odor shield valve designed to stop the upwellingsmells from wastewater and sewage pipes.

Available in DN 200on STINK-SHIELD^® settles in the stormwater manholes, on new or existing networks, at the end of a pipe on an elbow, in a horizontal position.

It is composed of a body made of elastomer type SEBSand a clamp made of stainless steel AISI 304.

It is very easy to install, without glue, with a simple screwdriver.

OPERATION :

RAINY WEATHER SITUATION: Normal drainage of rainwater from the manhole to the collector.

In rainy weather, the water level rises in the manhole until it reaches the STINK-SHIELD^®.

Under the effect of the water's push on the STINK-SHIELD^®, the two main openings open and allow the rainwater to drain into the collector.

DRAINING SITUATION: Evaporation of water

As long as the end of the elbow is submerged, bad odours cannot pass through. The elbow acts as a siphon.

As evaporation proceeds, the water level in the manhole decreases.

As long as the rainwater level is higher than the STINK-SHIELD^®s, the secondary openingsopen to allow residual water to drain from the pipe. The elbow always acts as a trap.

When the rainwater level is below the STINK-SHIELD^® (or that the eyes are completely dry), the main gills close and block bad smells from the pipe. The odours remain confined in the collector.
