Functionality:

Woven glass yarn fabric for use with GEBSOFERRESIN for repairing or reinforcement of materials (metals, concrete, certain plastics, etc.). It allows to carry out reinforcement or repair of large holes and cracks, even if they are open on complex surfaces.

• Do-it-yourself: plugging, sealing, gluing and repairing holes or major cracks. Bodywork cars, caravans, boats (use above the waterline), ...
• In sheet metal work: repair of damaged sheets, ...
• In mechanics: repair of casings, sealing of cracks.
• In the building industry: repair of construction equipment, piping.

• Not suitable for repairs in contact with drinking water, nor in permanent contact with water

According to the Directive 2004-42/CE, the couple GEBSOFERRESIN + GEBSOFERTISSU ROVING is not not suitable for vehicle refinishing.

Implementation:

Preparation:

• Clean and sand the surface to be repaired for better adhesion.
• Prepare the roving fabric reinforcement by cutting a piece 5 cm larger than the part to be repaired.
• Estimate the amount of resin and hardener required (2% in mass compared to the mass of resin at 20°C). If necessary, an indicative table on the packaging gives an approximation in length of hardener beads in relation to the volume of product used.

Instructions for use :

• The temperature must be at least +5°C.
• Add the necessary amount of hardener to the resin. Stir well until a colour is obtained. The mixture can be used for about 12 minutes.
• Place the glass reinforcement on the surface already soaked in resin and brush it in.
• It is advisable to place a sheet of polyethylene over the repair and allow it to harden.
• After 2 hours of drying and removal of the polyethylene film, a new coating is possible.
• For a repair that is to be painted, it is necessary to sand and dust the surface and then coat it with GEBSOFERFIN.

Consumption :

• 500 ml of GEBSOFERRESINE corresponds to the use of 1m² of roving fabric

Cleaning of equipment :

• Before curing, clean tools with solvent (ethyl acetate or ketone solvent).

Tips :

• In cold weather (below +15 °C), the curing speed slows down considerably, so we recommend that you We therefore recommend working at temperatures above +15°C (environment and substrate to be repaired). In case of If necessary, increase the dose of hardener (3 to 4% instead of 2%) without exceeding this limit.
• Indeed, an excess of of hardener reduces the mechanical characteristics of the product.

Storage:

• Store at a temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
• The expiry date on the package is measured on unopened product, stored at 20°C under the following conditions normal humidity

Observations:

• Respect a curing time of 2 hours at 20°C between each layer of product in order to achieve homogeneous connections.
• Do not laminate more than two layers at a time.
