Product type: PVC glued fitting
Description:
PVC glued fitting allowing for very simple connection of a pipe to an existing pipeline.
Saddle body with the same diameter as your main pipeline for better adhesion.
45° tapered take-off (female)
The PVC Branch Saddle is a building fitting that allows for easy connection of a drain pipe to a main pipeline without the need to cut, dismantle, or completely modify it.
It is made using a standard PVC Building Tube (NF), cut and trimmed as necessary along the length. This tube has a diameter equivalent to that of the pipeline it will clip onto. The elasticity of the PVC will allow, during installation, it to stretch and then return to its original shape, accommodating the support surface perfectly.
We intentionally make the body longer than the actual final need, which guarantees you an additional positioning, holding, and gluing surface. However, you can perfectly recut it if necessary.
On certain saddles, it may sometimes appear that the diameter of the body is visually smaller than the final diameter, but in reality, this is not the case: indeed, PVC is elastic and naturally contracts during cutting or shaping. Once clipped and in place, the PVC will perfectly regain its initial diameter and fit your pipeline.
It is also made using a standard PVC Building Tube (NF) that we thermoform to create a female fitting (tulip) which allows you to connect your take-off pipe or possibly a male fitting (inspection cap, tee, etc...) with ease.
Once positioned hot, the take-off is permanently welded to the body using a specially developed professional PVC glue that also guarantees watertightness.
During your positioning trials of the saddle before drilling, it may, in some cases, seem not to fully conform to the main pipeline. A bit like it was hindered by a roughness. This is perfectly normal: indeed, the take-off is sometimes positioned slightly recessed into the saddle body to subsequently favor gravitational flows. Once you have made your drilling (preferably a bit wider than the take-off diameter), it will penetrate into the main pipeline and your saddle will thus be perfectly in place.
Position the saddle at the intended location and mark the drilling location by passing through the inside of the take-off fitting. You can also trace the edges of the saddle to help with repositioning later.
Drill the hole (preferably a bit wider than the initially marked diameter to favor subsequent gravitational flow). The dimensions of the saddle body allow for a great margin of maneuver.
Glue the inner part of the saddle body with a good PVC GEL glue, then replace the saddle in its final position.
That's it!
